Phil Manginelli is a pastor, church planter and speaker based in Atlanta. He is part of the instructor team at the Jesus Culture School of Leadership (JCSL) and regularly features on our Jesus Culture Podcast Network.
He brings deep insights on how we can live holy lives in a secular culture and is well studied and practised on addressing many of the significant cultural topics facing the church in this age.
After studying for his BA in pastoral ministry from LIFE Pacific College in Southern California, he moved on to serve on international missions. It was during this missions work in Southeast Asia with YWAM that he met his beautiful wife, Emily, to whom he has been married since 2003. He then returned to his studies, graduating with a degree in Biblical Studies from LIFE Pacific College.
Phil moved to Seattle to take a position as Student Ministries Director for almost seven years. He oversaw Junior-High, High-School, and College Ministry as well as a yearlong school of discipleship called The Internship.
Phil and his family have now founded a church plant called The Square. He continues to be a sought-after guest speaker and teacher at many different venues.
Pastor Phil and Emily have two beautiful boys, Jacob and Rohan. He loves all sports, but soccer (Sounders) and baseball (Dodgers) are his passion. His favorite scripture is out of 2 Corinthians 5:21 β βHe made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.β
